Remember how obsessed everyone was with that ultra-chic, pearly white manicure? Yeah, us too. While Hailey dabbled with other fun ideas – “little bugs” on her nails, anyone? – it seems the glazed donut magic is too strong to resist.
Her talented nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt, recently dished on the 2.0 version of this iconic look. Apparently, it’s been nearly two years since it took the world by storm, solidifying its place as a red carpet staple (and a favorite in many home nail studios, ahem!). For the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party, Ganzorigt took the glazed donut formula and gave it a spring refresh.
Out went the pearly white base, replaced by a sheer, nude pink – think OPI’s GelColor in Bare My Soul for that perfect shade. This update gives the nails a more delicate, glistening pink seashell vibe, a subtle shift from the sugary donut inspiration. One key element remains though: the signature shimmer! The OPI Chrome Effects powder in Tin Man Can is back, adding that touch of magic dust.

It’s the latest iteration in Bieber and Ganzorigt’s ongoing exploration of the glazed donut look, having previously experimented with a “mirror glaze” and even a “strawberry glaze” inspired by Hailey’s donut cravings.
